April Highlights: |
| The seventh ART AFTER DARK occurred on April 27th and a wonderful event it was. We are on a roll, with approximately 250 art lovers in attendance, the Art League of Long Island rocked with Joel Spector doing his magic with pastels, Kirk Larsen painting to jazz by drummer, Chris Candida and guitarist, Michael Jeremiah and Dave Rogers presenting paper cutting 101 and giving a personal talk about an American 'boy' living in China for 10 years. What a night. You don't want to miss our next event on May 25th. Hope to see you there. |

Art permeated Bill's life from the moment he was born in Brooklyn, living across the street from the Pratt Institute. Bill went on to study art at Schermer College in Mount Carol, Illinois, but returned to New York when the school closed down. Intent on continuing his studies in New York, he was thwarted from his attempt to go back to school due to his success at the tender age of 17 in the television business.

Bill's career as a model-maker in television and movies eventually brought him to the doors of the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. His work is still on view there to this day. His work can be found throughout the world, in England, France, Sweden, and at the Deutsches Museum in
Germany. He turned to teaching when he joined the Stevenson Academy and created their sculpting and model-making curriculum. The Art League is privileged to have Bill on board. |
