The fourth ART AFTER DARK took place on Friday, January 27th. Talk about a great crowd … we had upwards of 225 people buzzing around the main gallery and two adjacent studios as well as the lounge area and connecting hallways. It was amazing. Everyone loved the wonderful demonstration by well-known pastellist, Donna Harlow Moraff, and participating artists as well as the exhibition of cartoons by Berndt Toast Gang. The Art League of Long Island is the premier teaching and art exhibition institution for local artists on Long Island. Join the ART AFTER DARK crowd at the next event on February 24, 2012. ART AFTER DARK is the place to be from 7 to 9 pm on the last Friday of every month.

Howard Rose graduated from the School of Visual Arts, NYC, Graduate studies at C.W.Post, and the New School in NYC. His articles and instruction techniques have been published in various magazines, including Artists, and American Artist Magazine. Howard will be demonstrating oil painting.
